We haven’t made permanent redirects for everything. Actually, almost nothing. So you need to update your bookmarks, feed and all that stuff - at least you can forget you favourite sample located at ibeatdotorgsomeextremelylongurlwithloadsofshitinit. We wont change it again (until next time).
