I know tags N such are necessary. I was being sarcastic actually.
Hopefully, these samples won't give ME a headache! (insert laughter)!
keep up the good work fellas!

Dear Beatman

I get a headache from watching Teletubbies - hell, even paracetemol...

We actually use the samples ourselves. This means we need to be able to navigate in some way or another... into what would be meaningful in regards to reuse - and search. That's because the main point is building an allround production pack, not just random guitar riffs - which I agree would be relatively easy.

Btw, the tags don't (always) make sense, but at least it makes everything less random... especially for the 90% that pops by as new leechers. No reason not to give them a chance of not drowning in useless crap (a chance ;))

So the 10+ guitars aso we've lined up, would be nice to put in boxes in terms of major, minor, fifths, octaves, single shots. Not just a telecaster playing a tweaked SmokeOnTheWater-riff and all the others something different...

Take the Grand Piano Fazioli chords... DaDeMo did a great job with these - and believe it or not, had to think a bit about where to start and where to stop.

I appriciate you popping by as often as you do - but that means you are likely to be using the audio in a different way. You just want to have a listen to the newest stuff, and not seeking something in particular.

Finally
...we don't think too much about tags and categories - to a degree it's more or less a dumbass excuse for not publishing anything...

Perhaps we SHOULD focus on just publishing more of the random jam stuff - I think people are definitely up for it - as an addition to a more organised and well rounded base of production music material.

Quote from JS1:

"Riding low and slow on this for a while. But figuring out how to build a recording setup for bass and guitars and how to categorise these takes into shots, loops, licks, riffs and so on is a headache." End quote...

If you're getting headaches from trying to figure out how to record and offer
freely given samples for which there is no compensation given in exchanged; then... it's an issue of sorts IMO. Depending on what you're looking to achieve or offer with these sessions... me myself; I would just record what ever the feeling brought at the moment, slice and dice, then simply offer the results as the: * SESSION FILES *

I think you guys put to much effort into categories and tags! If someone needs to be spoon fed the samples to such a degree... then, music production may not be their forte! Too much for no pay. Besides, the tags rarely produce the expected results IMO.

There's no samples left from the drum session, appart from the really shitty ones.

Overthinking is not an issue...

Umm... unless I fell asleep, and still haven't awakened; I believe you guys have
yet to release all the samples from the drum sessions as of yet???

As for the bass -N- guitar sessions... I believe you may over think things at times. Just Plug up and get her done! ^~^
