Free beats, CC loops, wav sessions/tracks, random files? Categorization questions

We’ve been aware for some time, that the tag page on audio.ibeat.org can be a bit overwhelming. So we’ve been trying to work out a useable solution; trying to make some landing pages that make sense when you come through from some search engine.

These semantic updates are coming along, but before we air these, we’d like to trim them according to our users (one?).

From the blog we’d have the following audio segments, which would work as channels for perusing wav files:

    Free shots and packs
    Free loops and samples
    Free sessions and short tracks

If you were to go straight to the audio section, we would profile per genre for sessions, be it rock, pop, hiphop, electronic, urban, noise and so on. Loops would be represented primarily by type of instrument, the same with shots…

Would this work for you? Please do speedback. How do you want the audio archive sorted. What makes sense to us, might not be the best thing for the typical user.

Anythings better than the current tag setup! I would suggest not putting much thought into it.
After all…you guys rather make music than put time into tags?

The fact you guys are providing free samples out of generosity;should be enough on your part. If someone has to put a little effort into finding something useful…so be it, I say.

The above examples should suffice. As far as the player goes…I was only curious about it since it
came and went like a minimum wage pay check! Don’t bother yourself about it.
